Patience is a virtue

In the world of instant results-fast relationships, fast food, fast weight loss and small world, being told to "please be patient" on the telephone is enough put your wheel at a halt, temporarily atleast.
That;s what happened to me yesterday evening when I was attempting to chase a job application.
One wonders that after 3 weeks of waiting whether the opportunity is open no longer?
Where job hunting is concerned, how patient is too patient?

Does the ideal Job exist?

"It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single girl in possession of a large talent must be in want of a stable job."

What does one do when one doesn't want to be an entrepreneur and has the simple dream of working for a good boss in a job that enriches her and the company both?
Is this a dream ? a 2010 space odyssey of a hopeless romantic/space cadet?

Life and Lemons..

Currently I am ruminating on a competition that I have just entered.

To sum it up for all who are reading,if any, that its a facebook centered competition designed to get maximum ideas out of an increasingly internet centric audience, who having lost all their physical movement are still hanging on to a shred a creativity.(the audience that is,not facebook)

The idea is to create two original t-shirt designs and upload them on the internet so that users may vote for them and hence give them ratings. An accumulation of votes will drive the designs into the first 30 spots and these would in turn be judged by the jury/company aka Hugo Boss.

Now-
Loophole 1
- the best designs may not be in the first 30 because the best designers are probably seriously reclusive and dont have 1200 facebook contacts anyway.(which by the way is the number of votes the no1 t-shirt has)

loophole 2-It is possible to get coders to rig the competetion by hacking into the website and increasing the votes.
Considering the current bugs in the application ,the likelyhood of justice being served is bleak indeed.

Loophole 3- the application is so difficlut to work around that most genuine voters do it once and swear never to return again, fearing retribution by firefox at having to refresh a zillion times since the "vote" button doesnt work.

Dont get me wrong! this isnt a whingeing session about the do's and dont's of social networking, after all it was upto me to upload my designs in the first place!
Having said that,I think I have the right to vent in my own blog!

And I am not that altruistic and honest either-I did try to find the process of getting quicker votes from a neighbourhood internet cafe.I was faced with a descision of paying 20,000INR (333 EUROS) to a hacker who would drum up the required votes to reach number one spot.
But I hate to admit,I faced away. I am not a do-it-at-all-costs person, howevermuch I might think I am.

So ,foxy me, sees an insurmountable tally that seems far to sour to attempt! haha!

The thought of letting things float is very tempting indeed.!

Just in case-here are the two links of my designs ,voting is customary after clicking this link!
